Can someone who perviously couldn't sing, be taught to sing and actually sound decent? Is that possible to do?

Of course! Before I started taking singing lessons, I stunk! Now, I am a much better singer. And also, just remember, that if you set your mind to it, you can do anything that you want to do. Nothing is impossible.
