How do I not get nervous right before a performance if...?

there is someone in the audience just waiting for me to fail.

i already have stage fright and im singing a solo at this concert set up by my singing choir. How do I get over it? esp. when this person who hates me is attending.

the whole pretending there is no one there doesn't work for me. spotlights and not seeing the audience only make it worse.

the concert is tomorrow! please help!!

think positive...that person who hates you, make them hate you more by singing amazingly. So what if they want you to fail just believe you wont. Smile big, take deep breathes and tell yourself you are not going to fail.

When you are up there its your time to shine and dont let nerves get in the way of that...I mean if this was your last chance ever at singing you would want to blow the audience (and the person who hates you) away.

take twelve deep breaths before the performance. then just think about what ur goin to do, not the audience. thats what i do before footall games

Try not looking directly at the audience...look above them, because at the moment you are performing...you are above them. They are looking up at you in wonder and awe, because you are so good.Try to shut the audience out of your mind, and act like you're performing for the most important thing in your life.Good luck

I find Heroin works really well but it has a few side effects you may want to consider...

What helps me is confidence. The more I know the part, the more sure I am of myself. Booya on the person who doesn't like you. Blow them off.

I've experienced singing for a few years. I do have a stage fright. I'll give you the tips:

1. Take a deep breath
2. Memorize your lyrics
3. Don't mention about the audience, just think of you, yourself and your performance
4. You must be focus and believe that you can do it
5. Test your vocal also

There's nothing like knowing your material before a show to give you confidence so be prepared and practice.

As for the loser that wants you to fail forget them and just focus on your part when the time comes. The rest of the audience wants you to succeed and they deserve your best. Don't let one rotten apple get into your head. This isn't about them, it's about you. Meet this challenge head on and do your best despite what anyone else thinks.

Perform for the audience. The people who just want to be entertained and have gone for the pleasure of listening to the music and the songs. You must be pretty good to get a solo, so sing for those who believe in you.
Sing your heart out and enjoy yourself. I never suffer from stage fright myself. I have made mistakes on stage before and still had people tell me they enjoyed my performance. Most people in the audience are not trained and aren't performers, funny how they don't seem to notice a few mistakes from time to time. Have a great night and give some good memories to those who watch you perform.

talk to ur choir teacher and dont think about other people being there good luck
