Who in your opinion is the better singer/songwriter? I think this is a good question But I will go with Neil Diamond Here is why. Neil has had staying power he still sells out concerts all over the country. Band's always seem to cover his songs like UB40, and The Lemonheads, and The Monkees... Elvis did Sweet Caroline that's a pretty big compliment I think.
Barry is very talented also he is doing Vegas allot now but i don't think he has had a hit in a while and Neil just had a top hit with "Delirious Love"
So I feel Neil Diamond is more Talented Neil Diamond, by leaps and bounds.
Neil's more versatile (lyrically) than Barry, and Neil's catalog is full of more original songs. Over the last 10-15 years, Barry tends to record a lot of cover tunes, while Neil is still writing fresh lyrics. That's like saying "Is Donny Osmand the Jesus to David Cassidy's Mohammed"... |
