Singing Question!!!? |
Well, on next wednesday (december 12) i'll be singing with 7 other people the national anthem. we are the openers for my schools concert and i'm kind of nervous. people keep telling me i'm really great and my music teacher said i have a good voice when i auditioned but i'm still scared. i know i have to be good to be picked from over 50 people in my grade but i'm still scared. please give me some encouragement and good advice. 1) Let NO ONE know that your nervous. thats true Just stay away from drugs and sleezebags with video cameras. Good luck hun. picture yourself all by yourself singing in the shower. relax and sing like nobody is listening. sing your heart out, put your soul into it but most importantly... HAVE FUN!!!!! Good luck and as they say in theatre, break a leg! The same happened to me. I was so nervous when I used to sing in front of people that my voice would hardly come out. Over time, I gained confidence. The more I sang, the more confident I became. Just keep going and practice every chance you get. If you are really well prepared, you will knock their socks off. I have never heard your voice I can't give you good advice. that old saying " picture them in their underwear " really doesnt work. what I do when I have to do someting in front of a large crowd singing or speaking, is dont look at them.. just do your thing and imagine the crowd as a flock of birds or something that makes you smile.... |
