What would be a good Jazz Choir Audition Song that shows off my singing abilities(I'm more of a tenor two)?

I would like song suggestions that have a contrast(s) in range and Power(cresendo, diminuendo)

At least i think that is "Power" in singing? and i'm pretty sure i spelt diminuendo wrong so correct me if you must.

And does anyone have a good suggestion for a solo a cappela song for Drama State?

Also consider some Frank Sinatra (As Time Goes By, The Coffee Song, Come Rain or Come Shine) or Michael Bubl茅 (You Don't Know Me, For Once in My Life, Sway).

Have you considered buying a Jazz Fake Book? They have GREAT jazz standards that you could look through and pick from. You can find these fake books in any bookstore and music store. There are so many jazz standards in there, it is ridiculous. You would have a field day! And you might even find one in the library.

My Funny Valentine has been interpreted many ways, and the range is pretty reasonable. You can show off towards the end if you want to include a "tenor" held note on the word "stay". If you want to do something upbeat, how about "Night in Tunisia". There is instrumentals and vocals for that one. Blue Skies, New York New York, these types of songs are good for you.

Since you are a tenor, check out Tony Bennett's CD's. You are bound to find something good by him that you could use that would be fun for you to sing. He is also a great example to follow.
