Can anyone advise me on a good quality but reasonably priced microphone for recording please. It will be a gift for my son who is studying on a music production degree and so will need to be of reasonable quality. Also what accessories will it need (leads etc). He use a Mac if that is of any importance. Thanks! I use a Shure microphone and it plugs right into my computer with a reasonaly priced mixer. (Xenyx) Call Guitar Center or the biggest local music store. Have a price maximum in mind before you call. There are many good brands and the price range is huge.
