I want to start taking vocal classes, I really enjoy singing, but I want to sound good too. Im 19, is this too late to start? I know many people who've been training since they've been 6. If so, does anyone know any training in the NJ area? Thanks! Here's a list of teacher:

you might just want to start by taking group class in a community college
it's not to late to start.
just because they started at six doesn't mean they have a sweet or powerful voice, that is natural, they just know what they are doing
19? to late for waht? if you want to be pro, hoepfully, your parents will take care of you, and should take piano lessons and practice 5 hours a day, and theory, and learn to sight read, and learn perfect pitch and just work hard. don't overwork the voice, but you can overwork other musical training.
and then there's singing with an accompanist, and singing with groups
bottom line is not when you are starting to sing, but how much music you know, the voice can catch up |
