Please help me with my singing!? |
Please i want to sing but i dont want to ruin my voice. ANd any tequniques about how to project my voice aswell, and how to breathe while singing please please please i really want to get into it, i already have my band i just need my voice!!! I've sang my entire life and joined a band rock/metal and can tell you the MOST important thing is to make sure when you are singing its coming from your diaphragm. don't drink soda! and don't try to yell or scream =) Use you diaphram to proiject your voice...the sound should come from you entire torso and not just your throat. First you have to calm down! The key to singing is letting your voice "flow" without you straining your voice! it is important to take breaths from your diaphram "stomach" and NOT from your nose. If you do that you probably won't need a lot of breaths but keep in mind you have to breathe often so it does'nt sound funny! Lots of Luck! I have one tip that could really help, and we're in the same boat os best of luck :) so the tip is to lay on your back sometimes and practice feeling your stomach move in and out instead of your chest when you breathe. its much better for breathe support than having to suck in all that air with your chest. It will help with sustaining and breath control. Good luck! voice lessons can be pretty cheap, look around. Good singing technique is very important, for you to not hurt your voice. You need to breathe with your diaphragm to support the tone and sustain a note. Easier said than done. When you breath diaphragmatically you push your stomach out as you inhale. Leave the diaphragm extended as long as you can while you sing (until you need to take another breath). If you practice this technique, you can sing many measures before taking another breath and the distension will also prevent vocal wobbling (otherwise known as vibrato or tremolo) so your about 20 and want to sing, best advice I could give it to go and get a old record of Deva from the 40's. practice singing along. buy it in English or the language you speak. the one thing to do is to plug both ears then read , and fill the vibrating this will help you with your diapheram . it will take time to get use to. Hmmm don't know how to hold you on the long notes as it comes natural to me,but I would say practice every day. Listen to the pitch of the original singer of the song and study the rhythm patterns. If you can't sightread, memorize where the singer starts to harmonize in the beginning of the song. Listen to the chorus and play it in your head, singing along with it. Sing low at first then gradually build up. I do that to some of the songs that i sing since there's no sheet music for a lot of the r&b and rock songs that I sing, Have fun with singing. It takes away the longing I have to have a girlfriend. umm okay when u sing breath thro ur stomach this may sound stupid but lay down on ur back and breath but try to just move ur stomach if u breath and ur torso goes up ur breathing right but for a singer u must sing with just ur stomach oh in hale and exhell through ur mouth not ur nose ,and also to not sound breathy dont sing like for example silent night breath holy night breath all is calm breath all is bright etc. sing like this silent night holy night breath all is calm all is bright breath round yon vergin mother and child breath etc. but for the breathy thing this is coming from someone who can hold something out for 8 to 12 measures strait but good luck! |
