Critique my singing (again)?

I haven't had singing lessons obviously but please critique my singing. I had a question like this before but I recorded myself again trying not to sound as nasally.

haha no im not gay, i just happened to pick a song called rainbow and i probably sounded gay cause I had trouble hitting higher notes. Anyway I'm happy at these responses cause at least I'm not the worst, cause I just got interested in singing last week.

um...well...

that's one of my favorite songs!

and um...well...hon, singing isn't for everybody as a profession. BUT it's the best stress reliever for the common person! so if you love singing, continue to sing!

i had a gay substitute teacher who was absolutely hilarious, he actually sang this song for us at the end of class

Yeah, your singing is quite ok.
Try to get a singing teacher as they will help you with pitch ect.

I think you should try out for American Idol.

Almost anyone can sing that song. sing a different one. still nasally!!!

I don't think this is the song for you. Perhaps a different song would be better for your voice. Other than that I thought you sounded good.

well listening to that, you aren't bad, but aren't good :D

just keep at it, you know training the ear and the voice to be able to work together.

Tone def, buddy. Sorry. You change key pretty badly. Not to mention quiet a few other problems. Your vibrato isn't too terribly bad, though, but that's hardly what you look for in a good singer.

Yikes. Simon would have you for lunch, or Randy would be hiding his face and giggling before you got to the third phrase. For goodness sake try another song to start with. This one is WAY overused and just plain prissy, which is never a good thing for a young man (or woman for that matter). But props for trying and trying again!

Your pitch is off... not by a little either. Tryt staying in one key... THEN work on not sounding nasally.

okay for no vocal lessons ur pretty damn good, the only thing i have to say is you need to work on your embouchure, or position of your mouth, i cant see you but i know you're not opening your mouth enough, make your vowels as round as you can. Also sit up when you sing, again, i cant see you but your really airy, and sitting up and pushing your air from ur gut can help get rid of that airiness which might be the sound you dont like. try choosing lower songs!!! it sounds like your more of a bass! (lower) other than that, kick *** man!! i would know, i am in a bunch of choirs and have been in some honor choirs! Also if you own a piano, that can help with your tone, and I know a lot of guys singers who sound like that who are absolutely not gay! Haha, way to be a sport, and keep singing, it's a dying breed for guys!

you have natural talent, but you do need lessons.
you tend to push notes...even the notes in your lower range and then you get pitchy.
stay simple. clear notes sound wonderful do not try adding trills and extras until you have the full grasp on your voice and music in general.
if you want to get serious, get a voice coach.
you could learn a lot.

also picking up tempo will help with pitch. you do not have the best breath support and that makes notes go flat when you hold them too long.

As with pretty much anyone in the world, IF you take vocal lessons, you can be a good singer. You're already not that bad because the tone in your voice is good. But you're out of tune and that can be fixed with vocal lessons. I suggest practising a bit more before singing in front of a big crowd, because people WILL criticise you because of the pitch problems. So take the lessons, sing from your heart and good things will happen, guaranteed. Cheers, bro.
