Is it possible to sing good, but just not have a pleasant voice?

Or will your voice sound better after you learn to sing right?

I guess what's "pleasant" is subjective ... Bob Dylan doesn't have a "pleasant" voice, but he's a major star and recording legend.

To me, it's more important that a voice has power and distinction ... I hear a lot of girls sing, and they've got sweet voices and it's all in tune, but their voices are weak and nothingy. That to me is more of a problem.

I think both. I just started singing too, but I started out hating my voice cause I was singing all nasally and now its not AS bad and sounds better than before.

First define a "good" singing voice.
nobody can define what other ears hear.

What this world needs is ORIGINALITY not conformity.
Relax and sing as loud as you can from the bottom of your heart because its not how you sound when you sing its how you FEEL!

U can sing before you train ur voice.....

But it will make A BIG difference when you LEARN how to train your voice and CONROL your voice.
