Can I sing seven octaves?

I think I can sing seven octaves, but I don't see why I should! I've had absolutely no vocal training at all and I probably use improper technique but when I sing along to a piano I can sing nearly every note, from C0-D6 ! How in the world?

Maybe if I give you how I'm sounding could give you a clue to if I can really sing seven octaves

Octave 0: Vocal Fry
Octave 1: Vocal Fry is less intense
Octave 2: Chest
Octave 3: Head voice
Octave 4: Higher Head Voice
Octave 5: Nearly whistling
Octave 6: Really intense whistling
Octave 7: I can't tell the difference between the piano and my voice!

Can I really sing seven octaves, or am I just bluffing?

I currently have 5 octaves (I am 13) and have been having lessons since i was 4. I am a female, and we have lighter vocal chords. If you can sing 7 octaves, then you only are one octave off of having the highest octave range in the world...that is record is currently held by Georgia Brown (8 octaves). Get a recorder or something. Or you could go to a one off singing lesson and ask for an octave test, the teacher should be able to tell you what octave range you have.

I'm absolutely positive you can't growl and grumble and squeal seven octaves maybe, sing ......no. Maybe you can't sing at all.

No I don't know of any one who can sing 7 octaves! Sorry.

Record yourself, and let's see! I've never heard of anybody with more than like 4 or 5 octaves though.

errr... mmm... I think you can sing 7 octaves, but please don't.
