| *Home>>>Singing |
I want to be a famous singer like britney spears & christina aguilera & all them but. . . ???? |
But what is stopping me is i dont think i have the body for it? I had a baby & i got a saggy stomach & stretch marks? I would absolutely love to be a singer & make film clips & stuff what do i do? You can be a singer...you don't have to be a hoochie to be successful. You don't have to show your stomach. There are plenty of successful women who sing and don't have anorexic bodies. You want to join the Mickey Mouse Club??????? It takes more than just a flat stomach. It takes either talent, or lots of money (which Disney has) to promote you. you dont have to have a good body to be a successful singer I think peple do not realize how difficult it is to become famous. There are millions of very talented people out there who will never be discovered. It is a combination of factors that allows somone to become famous today, mainly luck. Today's market for music is not very good due to the ability of people to download music for free. Record companies have lost alot of potential revenue. As a result, they are less likely to want to sign people. It is not worth the expense of marketing and recording. To be a star today in pop music, youth and beauty are big factors. It gives the talent an edge. Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera made it in part because they started very young with parents who really worked to get them out there. Nevertheless, even with looks, talent and youth, chances for anyone becoming a star is about the same as getting hit by lightning or winning the lottery. But there is a lot of work out there to be had. You can be a singer. If I had the talent I am assuming you do, I would try to become a working singer by auditioning as a back-up singer or singer for a band, etc. Even better, if you can write songs, your chances will increase a lot. Youth and looks are important for pop stars because they are "packaged" by producers. They do not write their own music. They sing what the producers tell them to and do not have a lot of creative freedom regarding routines, etc. The look is sometimes more important than the talent because they are fitting a mold. For example, few will say Britney can really sing well at all. But for years she was maleable: She fit the picture the producers wanted. For songwriters, it is a different story. A certain look becomes less important. Think of someone like Norah Jones. She is beautiful but not in the cookie cutter way of pop stars. Her figure is not "perfect." There are numerous other examples of famous songwriter/singers who do not fit the mold but are famous. Also, no one really looks the way they are portrayed in films and photos in real life. Neither Britney or Christina are as attractive as they are made to seem. There is a lot of concealing and touching up. It doesn't matter if you don't have the body for it - have you heard of Beth Ditto? She's ENORMOUS but she's proud of it and is still a great singer. Concentrate on your talent rather than what you look like, if you're good enough then people should focuse more on that. If you've got the talent, your looks are less important ... slaggy singers generally can't sing very well and are coasting on their looks. |
