How can a bass like me achieve reaching a note like high Ab? |
I have a pretty good range. I can go to low E all the way up to high E. I can hit an Ab but softly. I want to hit it, sound good singing it and sing it powerfully. I need it for the role of Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie. And no I cannot play the role of Trevor Gradon...at all. Please and Thank you!! And i am serious about this question. I don't need answers like "squeeze ur nuts or wear tight underware" unless it really is proven to help. Squeeze your nuts real hard just before you attempt the note. If you're a bass and can manage to hit an A flat, you're probably not a bass haha. If you need to do this in a couple of weeks, unfortunately, you're probably out of luck. It can take months and even years of good training to hit all the way up there. And there's no guarantee you'd even be able to; it's possible you could just reach the break in your full voice before that note. This is not silly.Open your mouth reaaally wide when singing. It helps ME with high notes bcos I have a bass voice too.It also stops your voice from cracking too much.Notice opera singers doing it? |
