Ahhh, im freaking out!!!!? |
I am singing a solo on thursday for a school concert, i don't feel nervous right know but i know i may be nervous at the concert. Please give me advice on how to sing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas better or on how not 2 b nervous or messup in the middle of singing it. i have a little trouble on when to breathe, sometimes i breathe in the middle of words and if i take a huge breathe i start coughing bcuz i just got over a cold. Look at the music (if you were given sheet music), or even just the text, and practice breathing where there is a comma in the text. For example: sing through "Have yourself a merry little christmas" on one breath, and then take a quick breath before continuing on with "Let your heart be light . . . " That way you're not breathing in the middle of words, and you help get the text across to the audience. Smile *make sure you have a light meal before your concert so you dont faint You'll be fine... by Thursday you should be feeling a lot better. All you need to do is relax and sing, it will come naturally. You wouldn't have been picked to sing a solo if no one had faith in you. so you are. four measure phrases. |
