I don't know about that, but Susan Flannery does suffer from fibromyalgia. This explains why the writers are creating these weird scenarios with regards to Stephanie's absence. It is rumored that she has requested more leaves from the show because of her illness. It is also rumored that Stephen Logan (Patrick Duffy) could have some involvement in the story, creating a plot for her absence.

I wondered that also. she used to be a very beautiful actress, then started dressing kind of mannish and a manly haircut. But, its really not our business really, as long as she can act!

Hi ... There are many older women who have been lesbian but didn't do anything about it. A couple of articles I have read suggests that this happens with men and women. We are much more accepting of different life styles.

I think the actress who plays Stephanie (Susan) has a illness. I believe she was losing her hair and that's why it was cut so short. And the reason why she wheres the same suits and no type of feminine clothing is because she has no breast and her illness.

I'm not sure though. I've been wondering the same thing.
