Y&R. Why does Brad get the to be the one who say what is best for Vicky?

I just think that Brad is going for legal guardianship of the fetus so that he can guarantee that he gets a say in what should happen to Victoria. I think that this is stupid. J.T could be the father. I can't understand why no one has been smart enough to think about doing a paternity test on the baby now to see who the father actually is. It couldn't be hard to do. Everybody is already at the hospital that needs to be tested. Let's test and find out. I can't wait for this stupid storyline to be over with. I can't believe that there is any real decision to be made here. The baby will not be able to survive outside the womb right now. And Victoria can't be a mother if she is dead. So for heaven's sakes, just do the damn c-section and save Victoria's life. Everyone can hope for a miracle. Miracles do happen. The baby could live too. If not then she could always make another baby. I can't wait to see J.T's reaction when he finds out what Brad has done. I hope Brad's idea backfires on him. He doesn't deserve a say in anything about Victoria even if the baby is his (which I hope it is not). He doesn't care about Victoria and he never has. So he needs to stop acting like he does care. As far as I am concerned, he doesn't even need to be at the hospital. He can just wait for someone to call him and give him updates.

Aren't they still married?

i have been wondering the same thing. they are divorced and there has been no test to dtermine who the father is so i dont see how they can appoint him as guradian of the child.

I seriously think he wants Victoria back. To that, I say, "NO CHANCE, BASTARD!!!" Brad was a less-than faithful husband when they were married to Victoria, and they are officially divorced. He says he wants what's best for her, but I think he's only interested in keeping the baby alive so he can prove that he's the father and not JT... and once that's proven, he can raise the baby himself. Oh, sure, and he was not a very good father to Colleen, staying out of her life until she was fourteen, then dictating her relationship with Adrian when he doesn't know a good goddamn thing about her, and while he was romancing his sister-in-law, Sharon.

Speaking of which, to those who say that Brad and Victoria are more in love than ever, I just want to say that's BS. He never gave a crap about Victoria. If he did, then he WOULDN'T have slept with SharHo when they were sharing a hotel room in New York when the "happy" couple was newly married. Nor would he have revealed to Neil that he slept with SharHo during the lowest point of his life... again, when he was newly married to Victoria. Brad, like his current favorite bed partner, is nothing more than just a golddigging manwhore who's only after custody of the baby, just so he can get his hands on the Newman fortune. I wouldn't put this past him.

I hope to hell the DNA proves that JT, not Bradstard, is the father. When and if that happens, I hope the Newmans give him a check for $500 (that's pretty much all he deserves, if that much, IMO) and they boot both him and SharHo out of the Newman family for good!

Who knows maybe just to add to the drama. This story line is getting a little boring for me.

To add to this drawn out drama...that's why Brad wants to be appointed guardian over the fetus. Every time Brad goes in the room to visit Victoria, I am hoping that J.T. hauls off and punch him in the nose! Brad makes me ill...I haven't seen today's episode yet but I guess Brad supposedly found this letter Victoria written and it states that she wants the baby to live if there was ever to be a choice.

But anyway....hopefully this whole mess will be over soon.
