Nikolas and emily?

it's so sad. i cried watching todays episode...

Yes, she is a ghost. Yesterday Alfred didnt see her when he came into the room. I personaly think she's just in denial that she died. Once she figures it out she will be taken off the show. Her contract is up in the spring maybe they will keep her on untill then. This week has been really sad. Nikolas and Emily were my favorite couple to watch i really hate to see Emily go!!!

i agree with u..today was SO SAD..i cried the whole week at her funeral and now today...its so sad shes gone

I do not think Emily is dead, the Cassadines have a long history of faking people's deaths. Leslie, Stravos, and Katherine and Lucky have all had deaths faked by the Cassadines and In Leslie, Katherine and Stravos cases there were actually bodies and services just like Emily.

So do not count here among the dead yet. What I suspect will happen is that if the producers cannot come to terms with Natalie for a new contract (and face it she might as well re0sign, she is a decent soap opera actress but she is not "big Hollywood star" material al la Demi Moore (who was Jackie Templeton on GH when she began)) then her "ghost" will disappear for a few weeks while a re-cast is done. Then just when Nicholas has come to grips with the loss and moved on, to say Leyla, Emily will reappear but this time in thrall to Helena.

I've read spoilers that said that Nicholas may have some sort of electrical/chemical imbalance in his brain which is what is causing all of his problems. Emily's manifestation may be caused by this. If that's the case, then it's a very very realistic hallucination/vision that is all in Nicholas' mind.

So the question is, if that's the case, and a cure is found to stop his blackouts, etc. would he want the cure if it means that his visions of Emily would stop too?

I read spoilers where Guza has said Em is NOT a ghost. She is absolutly real to Nick..just no one else can see her. The story line isn't supposed to resolve itself until Spring 2008 [when Natalia's contract runs out] I think that nick has a brain tumor or something and if he chooses to get it fixed he will lose Em forever. I am so confused!!

I think she is confused and doesn't know she is dead. I am not sure what that would make her, an earthbound spirit, I guess.

I have not watched it since the funeral. But catching up with what everyone is answering on here. They will have to pair her up with Allen and really drive Tracy crazy. That would be fun to watch. Hope they keep her around though. Really like

I hate what they did to em's character too. That's all i have been doing lately since Nicholas found her dead next to him with the rope wrapped around her neck. Their story was not suppose to end the way it did. I can not wait to find out who the real killer is. All i know is that em was suppose to be a ghostly figment of Nicholas conscientious. Plus - they are leaving the door open for her if she ever wanted to come back. Guza J.R has mum under wraps concerning the way he might bring her back somewhere down the line.

Is it possible that Emily cannot pass into the afterlife until her and Nik except the fact that she's really dead?

I heard this is supposed to be the love story to end all love stories. I'm looking forward to the storyline, it should be a great ride.

A spoiler told me that "We will find out that Nikolas suffers from a chemical imbalance in his brain and that this imbalance causes him to have seizures, which are responsible for his blackouts. Robin makes this discovery and discusses it with Patrick who determines that Nikolas needs brain surgery. Nikolas doesn't want the surgery though because he realizes that having the surgery will mean giving up what he has now..." It didn't say what the something is though.

My best guess is that Emily is really dead. She is not a ghost and she is not his conscience either. What she is to Nik is an epileptic psychological hallucination and as long as Nik still has the episodes, he gets to envision Emily, but if he has brain surgery, he loses everything of her, so he will try to go without surgery just to keep the visions of her alive. This will be the most romantic storyline, because it's not everyday a man will risk his life to keep the vision and memories of his dead lover alive!

This story is getting a little confusing.
