Emiliy not a ghost?

i just read in one of those soap books ( while i'm waiting in a super long line at wal-mart) that the writers say emily is not a ghost and she is not nick's conscience like alan, but that she just is. what the h*ll is that supposed to mean? and that we won't find out till the middle of next year. and that it's supposed to be a super romantic storyline.

I've read a few GH spoilers and Emily is dead. She is not a ghost nor is she just part of Nikolas' conscience, like Alan is for Tracy. They do not give it all away, but they do say that we will find out that Nikolas is suffering from a chemical imbalance in the frontal lobe of his brain and it makes him have seizures. Robin and Patrick discuss Nik's situation and Patrick determines that Nik will need brain surgery to stop the seizures and black outs, but Nik doesn't want the surgery because it will end what he has now...

So, I am guessing that Nik has a form of epileptic seizures that cause psychological hallucinations and that is why he sees Emily. If he has the surgery, he loses Emily forever, so he will be at odds over what to do. This will definitely be one of the most romantic of storylines because how many people would choose to hold off on a much needed brain surgery just so they could hold on to visions of their lost loved one?

That is exactly what I want to know. Either she is a spirit or imagination but if they say no what does that leave?!!!! How can gee honey, I'm dead, your're alone be romantic.

Doesn't make much sense but on soaps,I guess that's the way it is sometimes. It's kind of like Ghost Whisperer meets Our Town right now.

My theory is that Emily cannot pass into the afterlife until her and Nik both accept that she is really dead. And maybe Emily herself will be the one to reveal her killer. This is supposed to be the love story to end all love stories.

I can't see how Nic and Emily can have a 'romantic' story line if she isn't real. So far she has been standing right there when people other than Nic have come in and no one sees her so she must be a spirit or ghost or some such thing. Frankly these kinds of story lines don't impress me and if we find out in the end the whole business has been someones bad dream I will scream. I liked the Alan thing because it injected some humor into the show, but this story line just sounds silly to me.

I was wondering could she be in purgatory. Can she be in between life and death. I was also wondering if the real em has something to do with the return of Helena. I heard she was suppose to return and she is suppose to be the cause of all Nicholas problem. We are just going to have to wait and see where this weired story take everyone. So stay tune.

What I do think is that Emily is Not dead, rather she has been drugged to look as if she is dead by the Cassadines (Helena likely) This is something they have done before with Katherine, Lucky, Leslie and Stravos. And with Three of those four there were even bodies and funerals.

When contract negotiations are over they will either bring Emily back, or write her out for several more months (a la Lucky) and then bring her back as a recast. Either way it is a sure bet we have not seen the last of Emily

I have two theories:

1) Emily is dead, but her soul can't pass into the afterlife until she helps solve her murder so Nikolas doesn't blame himself anymore. Or...

2) She's not really dead, and her being there is kind of like the movies Awake, Just Like Heaven, or Invisible where the person is not dead, but her spirit has left her body to help solve their almost murder or death... Once its over she will either be alive, or everyone will think she's dead and just came back to help Nik catch the murderer... but then 2 years later we'll learn Helena set everything up to mess with Nik...

Who knows?! It's a soap opera!!!

It sounds like it will be a very convoluted story.

That's such bs, what are we supposed think of that?
