Does anyone think that daytime is total crap now?

I've been watching Y&R,B&B forever and its just not the same to me. Agreed?

i watch y&r and b&b too and yes they are horrible.
william bells shows have been destroyed.
mostly y&r upsets me though because i remember watching it when i was little and being mad if i missed a day now i can go weeks and not care,LML (writer) has killed so much history,now brad is george and has a jewish past? and sheila is phyllis and somehow grew a few inches and perfected her voice,phillip isnt jills and that destroys all that history with nina/little phillip,kay and jill are related,siblings keep popping upout of nowhere that were never spoken of jana has a massive tumour but never even had a headache in the past,a little rock smacks vic in the face and she tumbles and is out cold and thats the best way to write her out for a few weeks and no bruise where she was hit either..its all just a big slap in the face to long time viewers rewriting these characters and insane plots.they kill/write off people like john,dru,ashley,william,and cassie only to keep bringing them back in spirit/twin forms,they replace colleen with a girl who cant hide her aussie accent,ugh its just a mess i miss the beautiful yearly parties,gorgeous outfits hair and jewelry,seeing people work in their office instead of munching snacks and getting water from the fridge,the family meals with the abbotts,heck even a classic cat fight would be appreciated instead of these crazy storylines,everyone getting away with murder,and just the daily slap in the face to people who know the history better than the writers. b&b i just leave on in the background while i do chores now because its been the same thing churned out for 20 years.

never mind day time what about saturday night what a load of crap i remember if you was going out with mates on a saturday there will allways someone late why cos they didnt want miss a program same old thing why dont tape it you dont because you wanted to watch it this doent happen any more im not a old fogey but all tv networks arenot really responding what is good tv

I usually leave it on Sky Sports as background until 6.00pm then I watch Eggheads cos I love decent quizzes! lol
Sometimes watch the Wright Stuff a little but rarely.
Agree with you - I think we were better off without it.

Everything changes with time. Don't watch if you don't like it.
Switch to ABC soaps.

I've been off work sick for over a week now and agree with you, it's crap, still not better though! Although I'm not too sure what Y&R and B&B is?

i agree. soaps are only interesting to me when there's danger. b/b i just started watching when taylor (i think) accidentally killed that lady. that story line was not even all that good. y/r i stopped watching once jenna became a new person. you should watch general hospital or abc soaps. there's more action.

those soaps were never good in my opinion...try watching general hospital..its better

I had to stop watching the B&B, it got to be, so VERY STUPID. All the women sleeping with everyone and Brooke the ring leader. The men are the dumbest and weakest men I ever seen on T.V. The whole show is just a comedy act with sex in it.

I agree. The only good shows on daytime now are Ellen, Dr. Phil and Price is Right. Maybe Y&R can retain its former glory once Lynn Marie Latham is ousted.

All soaps are going downhill... They just ignore or even change history to make the stories better. They've gotten rid of so many veteran actors to make way for pretty, young characters that no one cares about... um, Richie who? Annie's too new a character to start bringing in her family, mental or not! I don't care!!! But that is the way of soap operas these days. I think it will be too late by the time the writers realize what they've done!!!
