GH:What if all of this of Emily being murdered is a "dream" or a?

hallucination of Nicholas's illness and when he gets "cured" and time has passed (for contract negotiations/, we may find that Emily never really died.... it was just all in Nicholas's mind.....??? too far fetched???

Nothing is far fetched in soapland. The actress is leaving next year and I guess this is their way of 'using' her till May or whenever it is. I don't see how this is going to be the most romantic storyline of all time tho if it turns out she really is dead. I have a funny feeling this is going to be a Dallas type thing and a lot of this stuff really didn't happen.

That would be great, after all, killing Emily made absolutely no sense. I hate when you get used to these actors and actresses and they decide to leave. But at least they should try to recast. Not kill off the best Quartermaine left!

I hope Emily isn't dead. I hope it's a contract thing or maybe a vacation thing....... If it can't be worked out I would vote for a recast.....

I would buy into the dream thing more if they had shown Nic in ever scenes where they mourned Emily but there were several where there were other characters, so if Nick were dreaming then how could they be "seen".

What I do think is that Emily is Not dead, rather she has been drugged to look as if she is dead by the Cassadines (Helena likely) This is something they have done before with Katherine, Lucky, Leslie and Stravos. And with Three of those four there were even bodies and funerals.

When contract negotiations are over they will either bring Emily back, or write her out for several more months (a la Lucky) and then bring her back as a recast. Either way it is a sure bet we have not seen the last of Emily

Well.. WAY back in the day we saw a dream like that on the show "Dallas" with Pam and Bobby.. so not TOO far fetched BUT it would be a total FARCE.. and people would probably get pretty ticked at a 2 or 3 month dream!! Besides, unless the WHOLE ENTIRE show is in Nichs dream.. then Em is really dead.. cuz TOO much greiving is going on around him.. and then he would be dreaming that Em died but then she was a ghost and then she had a funeral and EWW he DREAMED Jason and Liz slept together after EM's funeral.. KINDA WIERD DREAM dont ya think???

I think the Cassidine link is an interesting one. I am curious as to how it would be played out though. How they would tie it all together would be very complicated.

I don't think that is what is happening. Natalia's (Emily) contract is up in May. She is a hallucination until then. I think Nikolas is hallucinating her image because he can say that she's dead but his mind won't admit to it.

As of now she is really dead, if she ever wants to return to the show they will probably go in that direction. She is really leaving the show though and they are not recasting the role.

I am hoping it is some kind of Cassedine thing. They did it with Laura year and years ago. Luke thought Laura was dead when the Cassedines kidnapped her and made everyone think that Laura was dead. Remember everyone that Helena put a curse on Nicholas ans em's relationship - just like when she did to Nicholas mom's relationship with Luke. Those two relationships where doomed from the start. So i was wondering if Helena gave em some kind of drug to make it look like she was dead. And she has her hiding somewhere - were no one will find the real em. And the em that was next to nicholas could have been impostor. Where just going to have to wait until the story unfolds. And i can't wait until that happens. I think it is going to be worth the wait.

Well, they do some stupid stuff on soaps, but I don't think that's going to be the way. Natalia Livingston's people want her to explore other areas of the industry. The last time they did the dream sequence crap, everyone was very angry because a whole year of the show was just for nothing... I don't think daytime will make that same mistake again.

Not too far fetched at all. They did this exact thing on the soap opera Dallas, years ago when everyone was wondering who killed J.R. Ewing. That went on for like a year and then we find out it was someone's dream... totally stupid! Ruined a once great soap opera!!!!

It could be but it would not make sense they showed the funeral and brought everyone back for her funeral.
I really think she is all in Nicholas's mind playing tricks on him becuase of Jerry.
