On casualty it looks different?!?

I am just watching now, and I aint watched it for a while, and I dont know what it is but my Mum agreed with me that it looks different, like it doesnt look real anymore, something to do with the camera or something? I just cant explain it, it looks fake!

I agree - asked this question myself. It's the same on Holby and Heartbeat. Even worse on Heartbeat as it detracts from the 60s feel of the show.

Think it's something to do with use of film rather than video to record or the use of High Def recording equipment.

believe me its totally different in real life. its mainly because they dont use real blood, organs, people in pain ect.
i still like it though.

i dont really watch it much anymore but ive heard loads of people giving out bout the camerawork moving all over the place. i just flicked it on there for a minute and it does look wierd

Yeah I know what you mean. I noticed it at the start of the current series, don't know why it looks different though.

You do get used to it after a while though, you start not to notice it all the time after you've watched a couple of episodes of it.

And Arthur Fowler died again ,Dont expect many of you on here remember Arthur on Eastenders ,Only his long suffering widow Pauline ,

They said that they altered the filming effects to make it appear more realistic, but I much preferred it the old way. As you said it looks fake, it doesn't feel real anymore, they seem to be trying to copy the American shows and it just doesn't work.

Does look different. And the cast keep changing. If I had a doctor as bad as Toby would be signing myself out - and the receptionist, what on earth was the point in even hiring him! Bring back Josh.

I know! I can't explain it either it' like watching a movie or something the screenings different I remember when they had that explosion about a month ago it seemed to 'fake' for some reason and I stopped watching.It seems really 'wide' and when I watch it just seems really different.

They have started using some sort of camera that is like they use in films, so it looks different.

Apparently they are trying to follow the hollywood image.I think it looks awful personally as does holby.BUT I love the programmes and never miss them
