Sarah Brown back on GH? But not as Carly!?

So has anyone else heard this huge breaking story that Sarah Brown the actress that originated the fantastic character of Carly Corinthos is coming back to General Hospital.
It is being said that she will be back as another character and not Carly. I really have enjoyed Laura Wright as the Current Carly as well as I loved Tamara Braun's version of her, but as all of us "old-timers" know Carly will always be Sarah! What do you all think of this breaking news???

I adored Sarah Brown's version of Carly, but Laura Wright has that role now. I will be happy to see SJB back on GH, though. She has a way of shaking things up; too bad AJ is dead.

I think that Laura wright has really made "grown up Carly" her own. The rumor mill says a new character (Jax's long lost daughter?) But I would prefer if she were an established character....how about Serena Scott's daughter, to become a foil for Lulu and maybe a love interest for Lucky. Or is Sarah one of the few actress that fans would accept as a recast of Brenda?

I hope GH does not add too much more confusion to the mix they have going now. They may have too many irons in the fire as far as storylines go. They need to develop one or two instead of Patrick, Leyla, Robin, Spinelli's father, Liz & Jason, Nik and Emily, Lukes's heart condition, Johnny Zaccara, Carly expecting... My head is spinning!!!

I heard this as well. SB will always be my favorite Carly and one of my favorite actors to ever be on the show.

As of right now, SoapDish is rumoring that she will appear in January as Angela Zacchara, Anthony's daughter poised to take over the business. She will have a lot of interaction with Sonny and Jason, with her first scene appearing with Jason.

I cant see Sarah as Carly anymore because I think tptb or committed to carjax and Sarah and Ingo wont look good together. I think whatever character she plays is probably going to be somewhat involved with the mob whether it be she's related to Johnny or be an FBI agent especially if she's only there for short time. With that said I can't wait to see her interact with Mo and Steve.

I like her ok but if she is comming back to GH who would she play it is kinda dumb to bring her in as someone else when she is known as Carly.

I'm excited that Sarah is coming back. But I don't know if I can get used to her portraying another character. I'm going to look at her and think of Carly. I first started watching GH around the time that Carly first came to town.

I love Sarah Brown and I really can't see her as anyone but Carly...but Laura is doing a great job so the only way I'd accept her coming back as Carly would be if Laura decided to leave...which I know is not the case...so the only way it would work is to bring her back as a character that is brand new, because her coming back as Brenda would be too weird...I like the idea of her being Zacchara's daughter...but I guess we'll have to wait and see

OMG, I *just* asked a question about who played Carly the best! I love Sarah Brown. It will be great to have her back!

I loved Sarah as Carly. But, she looks so different now with her dark hair and all that I think that the audience could accept her in another capacity. I am really looking forward to this. She is a great actress.

I think that she will would be great teamed up with and against Sonny or Ric. Maybe as Anthony's daughter or better yet Trevors.

It's going to be wierd to see her playing another character when she originated the role of Carly. But - it is going to be good to see her on G.H. again. I don't really care what role she is playing now. As long as G.H. has her back and i hope for good this time. It is going to be very interesting to see her play something different than when she played Carly on G.H. It is going to be really interesting to see her play johnny sister. Plus - i didn't even know that Anthony had a daughter. I knew he had a son and that was johnny. And he was going to be taking over the business for his father. That is going to be worth watching.

That has always been a rumor but she has had success in primetime and last I heard, she was going to film school to become a director.

Does she still have dark hair?? Maybe it wont be too hard on us. I just cant see her doing Carly anymore even tho I love and missed her as Carly. She seems too young now compared to a mature looking beautiful Laura Wright. =}

I don't know who she will be but, I LOVE the new carly. She has worked hard to get the fans to accept her...everyone knows that she had really big shoes to fill. She is excellent and I don't want sarah brown back as Carly so, I'm glad that she is taking another role.

Well first of all, i do not like Laura Wright as Carly, i LOVED Tamara Braun as Carly! If Sarah Brown comes back, i guess it depends on what her new character is and what is her deal.

Really? I haven't heard that. I loved her as Carly and could never see anyone else filling her role. Sorry, but I couldn't stand Tamara as Carly. I do like Laura though and I think she is great as Carly. I don't think Sarah would go with Jax the way Laura does.

I wonder why she'd come back to this sinking ship. Surely she can get better roles elsewhere? By "better roles" I mean "anything else," so it's not like she doesn't have options.

Laura Wright is doing a great job as Carly. She makes Carly out as the same troublemaker but not as much as she was when Sarah Brown was Carly. Plus Laura meshes well with Jax...I can't see Sarah Brown being Carly again. Too many actresses have gone through the role of Carly and I am happy with this Carly...it's surprising they didn't give up Carly after Tamara Braun left...but Carly is probably my most favorite character on GH...

Sarah Brown couldn't play "dead",she was so bad then. Tamara Braun "looked" like an "anorexic" Sarah. The "best" Carly is THIS Carly, Laura Wright.
I'd have a problem if Sarah was on as someone else on GH.
Kind of like that new Detective that's on now, the actor played Frank, an E.M.T. on Port Charles.
