One life to Live or All My Childern circa 1980's?

okay... so when i was little my baby sitter used to make us sit on the couch quietly while she watched her soaps... so of corse we started to follow them. One one of the soaps there was a story line i was wondering if anyone remembered it and could tell me the outcome ( i am cursed with a great memory and it has always bothered me that i never found out the ending) The only character i can rememer her name is Gabriella (maybe gabriell) and her hubbys baby died at birth so she switched the baby with another characters baby. The other character ( i remeber she was blond) started to susupect that gabriell had switched the baby and was working on getting her proof... when we switched sitters! Anyone remember any of this?

This will tell you the whole story:

Gabrielle Medina, the daughter of a wealthy Argentinean rancher, arrived in Llanview in 1986. She had given her virginity to rascal Max Holden, believing that he wanted to marry her. Instead he dumped her, and she had to pass their love child, Al, off as Tina Roberts' son. The truth eventually came out and Max began raising him as his son. Gabrielle and Max were passionately in love, but Gabrielle married his brother, Steve. Steve was killed by a bomb in a wedding cake, and after saving her from joining a convent, Max and Gabrielle married.

After Max was presumed dead in a car wreck, Gabrielle fell into an affair with married, devious Michael Grande. During an argument with his pregnant wife, Alicia, their car crashed. Alicia died soon after giving birth. Michael was devastated. Gabrielle went to see Michael's baby in the nursery, and sadly, the child died. To spare Michael even more grief, Gabrielle switched his baby with Brenda Brock's baby. At the culmination of this story, Gabrielle was locked up, and then given community service. Soon after, Max came back with a new face. Gabrielle resumed their relationship, but also seduced a hunky priest, Father Tony Vallone. Local mob boss Carlo Hesser videotaped their tryst and blackmailed Gabrielle into poisoning Viki. Gabrielle couldn't go through with it. When she was arrested, Gabrielle planned to tell the court of Carlo's plans, but after he threatened to kill Al, Gabrielle stayed silent. She was sent to prison for nearly 7 years, until she was released in 1997. Max sent Al to live with her.

It was Gabrielle and the other one was Tina Vickie's sister on OLTL.

It was OLTL. Gabrielle Medina had a baby with Max Holden and Tina with Cord Roberts. Both babies were alive but Tina took baby Al ( Gabrielle's) and passed him off as hers, but the truth came out later.

Gabrielle Medina and her sinister father Dante came onto the canvas in 1987 when Gabrielle's former flame Max Holden reappeared in Argentina with his new girlfriend, Tina Lord. Dante was killed, and Gabrielle's sister Debra and scheming mother Julia followed her to Llanview in 1989. Debra became involved for a time with Cord Roberts before leaving town in 1990; Julia eventually confessed to the murder of Du Ann Demerest, and went to prison in 1992.

Gabrielle had a son, Al, with Max, and was initially duped by Tina into letting Tina pass the child off as her own. Gabrielle thought Tina would be raising the child with Max; Tina actually pretended the child was hers with Cord, hoping to reconcile with him. The truth eventually came out.

Gabrielle went to jail in 1991, but returned to Llanview dramatically in 2001 as the wife of Asa Buchanan. She was tragically murdered in 2004 after suffering through the death of her son Al and finally finding happiness in a relationship with Bo Buchanan.

i remember the story line and loved it. I wish they would make more story lines that are interesting instead of making them boring these days. I'm down from watching four soaps just to one.
