What is with the story line with victoria on young and the restless???

ok who else thought the whole rock putting her in a coma was stupid?? i thought the writers kinda did a sucky job there. i mean, that huge garage calapses, she stuck in there, she survives ALL that, gets rescued & is just fine. then she comes out, a rock clunks her on the head, & after that collapse, sumthing as silly as a ROCK hittin' her on the head puts her in a coma. is it just me? did anyone else think that was retarded?? i know this happened a while ago in the story line, but i just think it's silly for her to survive all that, and now she's in a coma because of a rock.

I also feel that this story line with Victoria is retarded. They didn't have to put her in a coma to cover her maternity leave. As far as I am concerned they should have just gotten another person to temporarily play the role of Victoria until this one came back from maternity leave. That would have made more sense. I am getting tired of seeing Victoria just laying around. They could have also made the rock look much bigger. It looked like a little pebble hit her upside the head. It isn't even believable that little rock would put her in a coma for so long.

ITA. They could of did something better to compensate for Amelia Heinle while she's out on maternity leave. That whole storyline just sucks.

Well, they had to come up with something to put her in a coma so she can be off to have her baby for real. But the thing is. after the rock hit her on the head she took a terrible fall. surprised she didnt lose the baby at that moment.

Actually, it isn't as far fetched as you may think. Victoria was in a very grave situation and she was pregnant and a lot of stress was placed on her body. You don't know how bit the rock was that fell on her head, in all actuality, she could have been killed. When a woman is pregnant the first thing that happens is the body tries to protect the foetus. I think that more than likely now that she is at home we won't be seeing too much of her and once she has finished her maternity leave she will come out of her coma.

In the case of Victoria, it was actually because the actress was going on maternity leave to have her baby in real life. She and her husband Thad Luckinbill (JT) .
Amelia and Thad have been blessed with a baby boy! They named him Thaddeus "Rowe" Luckinbill. The baby was born November 2, and all four members of the beautiful family are reported to be doing amazingly well!

I agree totally with you....that rock looked like it was made out of styrofoam. I know that they could have had a better story to put her on maternity leave, they could have just made her have to be on bedrest in the hospital without putting her in a coma. They could have referred to her as being in the hospital like we are to believe that Mac and her dad are still in "Louisiana". That would have been more believable than for her to be in a coma for this long and not getting better. I should turn in my resume so I could be a soap writer! I couldn't do any worse.

I agree with you there. The writer and the producers could of come up with something a little better than having a little rock hit Victoria on the head. They could have her survive the building and then a few weeks after the building clasped. Send her off to visit her mom's sister. Her aunt Casey for some reason. I think that would have been a little better than having her get out of the building unharmed. Just to have a little peace of the explosion to hit her on the head.

I completely agree with you! In fact when I was watching that episode I laughed when she got hit in the head it looked so goofy with her coming out of the cave smiling and waving and then in slow motion getting hit in the head with the rock.
