Why do these people humiliate themselves on shows like Jeremy Kyle?

You know I have wondered the exact same thing myself.

EDIT: I will revise my answer that it is sad that low intelligent people can be found to entertain the more know-betters in the freak circus of the Jeremy Kyle Show.
But those in the know are probably not far off their mentality if they find fun in this. I find it sad, exploiting and sickening.

cause they are sad asses who will do anythin for 拢500 and a room in a posh hotel for the night

most of them look as though they haven't done a days work in their lives, so they have to fill the day up somehow.

Ha Ha, I was thinking that myself. They are just nasty. Still, it makes the rest of us feel a bit better about ourselves.

Its the modern equivalent of the Victorian Circus freak show. Their "payment" for putting themselves up for ridicule is the free counselling and other help they get offered.

because they just want to go onto TV and get some sort of attention, they think that they can be big stars by going on things like jeremy kyle and big brother but it just shows us how athetic some people can be.

Have you noticed - without meaning to cause any offense - though I probably will - that all the people on there are...well, ok I dont know how to put it wihtout hurting anyones feelings but I saw a show the other day for the and a family of 4 had about 5 teeth between them...and everyone is very agressive and very scary ad scruffy - if you were going on TV surely you would make an effort ??. You now and then get a real smart looking, nice down to earth person and your heart goes out to them....anyone else know what I mean, I do only see it about 1 a month though as I work full time so I could be totally wrong.

Because they are sad, usually uneducated morons who lead pathetic lives and the thrill of going on such shows and staying in a hotel for the night is too much for their tiny brains to say no!

It makes a change from signing on and must be like a holiday for them leaving their scummy council bed-sit!

Still, it gives us something to laugh at...

Because it gets them on the telly, they have a nice day out and some free food in the green room, occasionally they'll be in it for the lie detector or dna tests because you get them free on these kind of shows rather than having to pay several hundred pounds privately.

Personally i wouldn't want to air my problems on national tv knowing there are hundreds of people yelling ause at their tv screens and completely embarrassing myself.

They're low life druggies, alcoholics and career doleys with no shame and little else to do with their lives.

I think they are desperate people - desperate for attention and a few minutes of fame. It's very very sad.

They get to enjoy the free stay overnight and some room service!! I'm glad they do appear on his show, I like to watch them and feel normal!!LOL!

I agree, why do they feel to air their dirty laundry in public?

And they always make big revelations and say things like "I didn't know how to tell you....". Obviously after careful thought and consideration they decided that the best way to break devastating news to a loved on is not the the privacy of ones home but on national TV. Then to have a DNA test, lie detector test etc and discover, in front of millions, the truth about their lives while Jeremy Kyle talks down to them and they sit there red faced.

They don't think they are, they think that's how normal people behave, thank God they're wrong. It appears you have to have an IQ of less than 80 to be on the program and less than 90 to be in the audience.
