Is anyone else getting tired of the same old story lines dragging and and on and on; on Y&R?

I am just so tired of the same old thing day after day and week after week!

I would think that the ratings for Y&R must be sinking like a person standing in quick sand.
I wonder if they are even still the #1 soap like they have been for many years!
Does anyone know if it still is????

I myself have watched Y&R for years and am very close to no longer watching it.
I am trying to hang in there it least till the end of this year, but if things don't start picking up fast; it's bye bye Y&R!!!

Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

I have been watching for 37 years and I am feeling the crap. J.T. has been in the hos[ital day and night by Victoria's side. Now Vik is home at the ranch and not once has J.T. been around to see her. Brad has been at the hospital to watch through the glass at his maybe son. NO J.T. C'mon directors stop insulting my intelligence. I'm seriously thinking of not watching any more, because of this stupid crap. They all have children who are no where to be seen. It's just so un realistic. If you want us to keep tuning in, make it it real, for Pete's sake!!!!

I normally watch it. I think they are dragging out the Victoria and the baby deal.

I don't even bother watching anymore. I just come on here & read the spoilers. hopefully it will pick up soon so I can start watching agian!!!

I catch one episode a week now. I only looked at this soap again because of the explosion. I don't know why I stopped watching it full time. Gloria has not come to see justice for being a murderer, that drags on....and on.... Niki and Victor have not stopped fighting since their last wedding, and all the young cast members that could bring some new issues to the TV are all really dull and boring. I have found that I am getting out more and running errands during that time. I just started watching Days of our lives(1pm est.) and General Hospital(3pm est.). That way I don't have to sit through Bold and the Beautiful. I really wanted to claw my eyes out while that was on. I only watched it because it was between Y&R and As the World Turns

Exactly how I feel. I haven't been watching it every day like I have for years, it's just the same thing. Even the other story line. Gloria is back to gold digging ways, I'm sick of even seeing her face. The only thing of any interest is Nicki moving back to the ranch and the big argument her and Victor had on Friday. I think it will pick up once the Victoria deal is over.

I so do not believe that John wrote that letter to Gloria!! I think he wrote a letter but she paid to have it doctored by someone so she could act like that. I could not stomache her holier than thou crying crap screaming at the committee people what does that have to do with anything. That's personally family stuff. I can't stand how she thinks she is so great of a person and that they wronged her and treated her so badly. She got no respect because she never earned their respect. I am so tired of everyone forgetting how she keep lying and sneaking and everythingv else to everyone and everything that she did. I would have hated for her to be with my dad too and look how Michael and Kevin keep trying to protect her from moneygrubbing men thats all Jack and Ashley were doing for their dad. ARgggghhh

I tape the show everyday and fast forward when Victor is on his high horse, the baby crap, actually most of it. They have drug the storylines out way way to long.

I think Y&R needs to revamp the entire show.

They come up with one story line & it just goes on and on!!!

Can you believe Victor & Nikki had to go before a judge to decide what to do about Victoria??!!! What was that all about??!!

That was the last time I saw the entire show. Now I just flip to see who's on at the time. If it's Michael or Kevin, I'll watch.

Yea-in a normal Soap, we would no who the father of Victoria's baby is by now. I love Phyllis and Jack. I think Sharon and Jack are gross and she should get with Brad. Sharon is a ****. You know she is going to hook up with Victor. But yes. It's old. Move on. I don't even care if I miss it somedays.

YES,,,,,,,,, I've watched Y&r since it first aired in the early 70's,MANY times I feel the same as you do and 'swear' I will stop watching ,,,yet I've never stopped. Just when I think I will they start another storyline thats good! ACTUALLY the writters have it easy,, ''Slack For Awile until you think you will put every one to sleep and THEN write a good storyline to get them hooked again,, Over-And-Over...

Yes and that's why I stopped watching it years ago. I started watching General Hospital three years ago while on vacation when nothing else was on and got hooked on it because their stories are easy to get hooked on and fast paced.

yes. you are right! They need for Jack's story to take off just to put something in it to make it worth watching each day. OR perhaps sheila carter can have a daughter or evil sister who comes to town! Now that would be exciting.

I am just getting sick and tired of "Gloria" always "Winning" never getting caught. She is so "boring" and self absorbed it is pathetic. I don't see what "John" saw in her.
She only went after him because he had "money. She literally "murdered" two men because of her deceit. She is so "evil"; why can't something bad happen to her.
No one likes her. If she keeps getting her way: I am going to stop watching it. If she marries Jeffrey, she will probably murder him.

I only watch 1 or 2 episodes a week now - and even that is with the DVR so I fly through most of them. It seems like the same conversations are happening over and over again.

I read all the answers above mine and all I can say is Amen to all of them.

I used to get upset if I missed any of this show, but not any more. The story lines are so unrealistic and they are taking too long to resolve. Victoria's story line isn't even close to being believable. I don't buy that a little pebble would cause so much damage. I also don't think that she would be in a coma in the hospital for over a month without a breathing tube and a IV providing nourishment for her and the baby. And like someone else mentioned here, it is really stupid that J.T never wanted to leave Victoria's side in the hospital, not even to eat but yet now you never see him looking at the baby and I don't even think that he has been over to the Newman ranch to check on Victoria. How stupid. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it is going to get much better for 2008. I went to soaps.com and read their spoilers. It just sounds like we got more of the same to look forward to. Jeffery Bardwell is going to try to blackmail Gloria into marrying him. If she wants him to keep his mouth shut so she doesn't go to jail, then she will have to marry him. I think that he is doing this so that he will have access to that money of his deceased brother. I wish that the head writer would just stop all this stupid stuff.
