Are they bringing Phillip back to the Guiding Light?

David Krizeman, the head writer of GL, has stated that they are not planning on bringing back Phillip nor do they plan on recasting the role. They just brought up his name so they could get the Gus/Liv and Harley/Cyrus stories going, IMO.

They must be at some point, because most of the storyline lately has been based on is return!!

No, I do not think he is coming back.
I think Allen is behind all the Phillip stuff. He is using every ones fear of Phillip returning to his advantage.
It would be great if Phillip did come back, though.

They have been mentioning him so much I have been wondering the same thing. All I can say is that the fans don't want a re-cast and the actor who played Phillip (Grant Alexander I think) has a very successful job producing or directing or something behind the scenes on another soap and is not expected to want to return. I would like to see Phillip come back even if it was played by someone else.....

I was just at the store this morning and saw the cover of a soap opera magazine and it said that Phillip has been found. Pictures of Grant Aleksander are still being used on the show, so if Phillip does return, I'm assuming it'll still be him playing the character.

i highly doubt it. For two reasons: Ellen Wheeler (the current producer/head writer) hates Grant Aleksander and the character of Philip. and two, Grant is known to be very difficult to work with, is not well liked by cast or crew and is also a very expensive actor to hire (because he's a veteran) and CBS can't afford to bring him back.
