Did anybody used to watch the soap opera Ryan's Hope in the 70's?

I did. I was sorry they took it off the air.

I loved Ryan's Hope. Maeve singing Danny Boy was so sad on the last episode!

my grandma used to watch it, and since she was babysitting me, i had to watch it also...

I loved that show! It was still on the air in 76 when I was expecting my son who is now 30. I remember that some of the characters were also having babies.
I loved the setting of that family bar, and the romances (especially Patrick) were very well written and acted. The best was the blond who pretended to be blind. Remember the episode when he busted her by throwing something to her and she caught it!??

I used to and always wondered why they took it off the air it was a really good soap . I guess no one watched it enough to keep the ratings up so it got canceled

I did, I did! I got sick of it after awhile and stopped watching it. Two of the Ryan boys are on soaps now, Gh and a cbs one, Daniel something. It was good when it started but then it waned.

Yes and as far as I know it is still on SoapNET every morning at 5 am.

My mom watched it when I was a little girl, and I used to watch with her. The only thing I remember was someone named Deliah or Delilah getting kidnapped by a gorilla and thinking that was the funniest thing! LOL

I used to watch Ryan's Hope in the seventies. I watch the reruns now . They come on soapnet and the show comes on at 5 and 6 am.

I used to watch Ryan's Hope it was a good filler for that half hour leading up to AMC. I bet you used to watch Port Charles, I miss that one, a lot of the people who were in that one are on GH and AMC. Most recently Frank on GH. Also Ian on AMC.

I did when my mom had it on, if you have soapnet they replay it there.

I used to take my lunch hour to go over to a friend's house, and she and I would watch every day - loved those Ryans, but especially loved Delia and Roger; when those two hooked up, someone was going to catch it, because they were absolutely devious together.
