What city and state is days of our lives supposedly supposed to be in? salem oregon salem massechussets? what?

Ive often wondered about this, Im sure other people have to if they dont know. I would sure love to know. I know marlena visits her folksin colorado would it be a city near there but she has to take a plane. Im just curious if somewhere in this old world knows the answer.

It's supposed to be somewhere in the midwest. I don't think we actually know what state they're in. All I know is that sometimes there is a beach next to a lake and once Shawn took his dad's boat out in the open sea and lost it in a typhoon. Also, it is a relatively short drive to Canada.

I don't think they have ever disclosed the state, but I don't think the Salem represented in the show is meant to be either one of the real cities, but rather a smaller one just named Salem.

Salem (Like many other fictional sops towns) is supposedly located in the Midwest. It's presumed to be somewhat near Chicago since people go back & forth & Indianapolis too. It could be in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana or Wisconsin for all we know but it's no more real that Shermer Illinois. Lol.

If you look closely on mail and addresses on the show all it says is Salem, USA. I believe that the show would like us to believe it is a small midwest town.

I read an article a couple of months back that said that the producer's of the show will not say exactly where Salem is. They said that enjoy it when people in all the cities called Salem, claim DOOL for their own towns.

It's unknown. Just like any other show, they don't want us to know! It's most likely Salem, Illinois, though, given that they go to Chicago do much.

Salem IL would be the closest guess though I don't think it is supposed to be any specific place. There are 48 Salems in the US and I think the writers intentionally keep it vague.

I think it is supposed to be in Indiana. I remember a few times they would say they were going to Indianapolis. And I also remember one time when Shawn went to Chicago, Hope asked him why did he go to Illinois. I had always wondered that question too. I thought it was in Illinois until I heard Hope ask that question.

Well according to the 30th anniversary family album, they're in the midwest. Everything about the storylines on the show completely contradict this. They have beaches, they have "seas" .....short drive up to canada at one point..... I've always felt that they portrayed Salem as being in the Northeast...
