Why are there NO black people ever on australian soaps like home and away or neighbours?

What a great question! Australia has its own issues with regard to black people. Read their history - there are blacks there but like our America - they don't treat their blacks well either. Sooner or later, like South Africa, they will all fall down. People will have to realize that we are all one.....color has to stop being the issue that divides us. The Aborigines are Australia's blacks and they are not treated well at all.

all immigration was strictly controlled,collour is not an issue in Australia,there are many very good aborigine actors there who are rather dusky.

Probably cause, some Australians are very racist towards native Australians.

yawn yawn!what it does mater if there is a black actor or not,i have never seen a mixed race or hindu/muslim english person in it,and i have managed to get by without any chips on shoulder see where i am goin!

Maybe because the makers of australian programmes cater to the majority of their watchers not like they do here where they cater to the minorities in case somebody flashes the racist card

i grew up in australia and they treat their indigenous people the worst of any of the (6) countries i've ever lived in or grown up in. it's shocking, they're not even accepted as part of society.

Have you seen TV from Black countries... There isn`t ANY whites anywhere. No Actors, Presenters, Comedians, Sports personalities, nothin.
