OLTL FANS? question why would todd manning name is son tommy to sam in honor of Sam Rappaport? |
what has he done for todd i cannot go back and remenber? Sam was a surrogate father to Todd as a teenager. I believe he was one of his high school football coaches. He was a better man to him than the man he thought was his own father, Peter Manning. Todd went to Sam whenever he was hurt as a teen. Jennifer has it right - Sam was the one that Todd turned to because his adoptive father was very abusive. Todd even claimed that he had been sexually abused by Manning, but his father was already dead and they never really established if it was true or if Todd was just trying to get sympathy from Sam. I think Jennifer has the answer. He's renaming Tommy "Sam". So his name won't be Tommy any more. Sounds like he's gonna find him. Crap. Jennifer hit the nail on the head; I wouldn't say it any differently. =) |
