Do people who appear on shows like Oprah Winfrey get paid? If so, how much?

I know somebody who would be great, but he'd have to travel from Europe.

Why in heaven would they pay you to go on a show and then sort out your problems for you. they pay for travel and a hotel, but you are the one benefiting from the help they give. I really don't see them paying people to go the show, and if they do it won't be much.

I always wondered the same thing. I always thought that staying in a first class hotel and air travel would be enough... but then again, I'm poor.

The last time I was on there, I got paid wat Oprah got paid....but that was a few years ago...it's probably changed by now......probably because of the whole Tom Cruise Thing....

You can't just want to appear on Oprah's show and it happens, you have to be asked !!!!! And your not asked unless your a big star.... and I mean big.....And I'm sure that most who appear on her show are not paid, they usually are on there to promote something, a movie, book, new Cd, product, etc.
I'm sure that there are people who do go on and are paid, like people who are paid for their information on a certain subjects, like Dr's or professionals of some sort !!!!!!!!

Probably not because just like anyone else on other shows they are plugging something they did and to get on Oprah to tell everyone about a book or movie or show is the same as gold in the bank.

Not Oprah's show...But i am Sure the Freaks On Jerry Springer get some kinda pocket change...haha
