What do you think about the latest episode of Dr. Phil?

Did you see yesterday and Wednesdays episode where the 18 year old apperently ran off to Palestine to be with a 22 year old? I can't help but wonder if this particular story (as well as some others in the past, and on other talk shows) aren't staged, or made up. (However you'd like to word it)

I was paying close attention to the things people were saying and how they acted and watched their body language. This is what made me believe it might of been staged.

What is your opinion on this particular episode? (Two parter) Do you agree that this, and maybe others might be staged? (Any other shows?)

I do think Dr. Phil has some interesting topics, whether the situation has really happened or not.

I thought it was sad, romantic, and interesting. the girl obviously loves him and she's obviously confused. i don't think i can really judge the man's character because I've never met him but i think they may just be trailer trash gone international (no offense) i defiantly think it was some of it was staged especially when the girl was on the satellite feed and when they would show clips of the boy and the girl but i think there is some truth to the story. i don't really care to much for Dr. Phil (he kinda creeps me out) but i thought it was really nice of him to offer her the convoy and all that jazz in order to get out of the country when she needs to (even though that also seemed really staged too)

This was not a set-up story.Saw it on the evening news as the parents of this girl believed she'd be kidnapped or killed going to the Middle East.

I have never liked nor will I ever like Dr. Phil. I think he is just another in the long line of Jerry Springer types. I lost complete respect for Oprah when she endorsed this guy. And it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this show were staged.

I agree with you as far as some TV shows being staged but this one I dont think was. I dont think that because in the first part it said that when she tried to run away the first time (age 16) the FBI stopped her!! I was so surprised that she did that!!

Anyways I got this weird feeling that she wanted to leave when they were interviewing her "alone" she seemed..disconnected.

My friend went to work on the Dr. Phil show as a crew member and he said that Dr. Phil is a big JERK! He makes EVERYONE sign papers that they will not talk about the show to their friends or family and that if they even see Dr. Phil coming towards them, they are to look away and not make eye contact with him.
He is a very odd and peculiar man

I have always like the Dr. Phil show because he does not just get people on their and exploit them and leave them hanging. He always offers them help and he has alot of common sence advice if people would just apply it. I did not think that the show was staged. But I did like him offering her help as he always does everyone who is on his show. Most talk shows get the people on there to talk about their problems but doesn't have a solution for them. It just exploits them for their own personal gain. Not this show. I have never watched a show where he didn't offer help and answers. And that's the way it should be. Terri

I think she must have been scared to really talk. It sounded rehearsed or something. Once Dr.Phil get her home we'll know the real deal. By the way, when is part 3 coming on??
But she young and dumb, and hopefully she make it home safely.

I don't think these shows are staged. I do think they have to be careful what they say to this young girl so she will come back home. I just saw previews for the part 3 and it is apparent that he abused her. They did not give an air date to the part 3 show. It only said "coming soon".

One of the shows the other day was a weird subject. It was the one where the girl didn't want to MIL to be to come to the wedding. I thought this subject was really strange and belonged more on Jerry Springer. This is the first time I've ever felt this way.

Dr Phil gives a lot of good advise and helps a lot of people. I'll keep watching. I'll just delete the espisodes I don't want to see.
