Why do people listen to Oprah? She is only an entertainer/puppet making $ from people who have no lives?

Oprah is laughing all the way to the bank while she pretends to care for people who have lazy minds....showcasing peoples problems and getting paid for it.
Many are too lazy to take control of their own lives and prefer to let someone on TV show them how to live their lives.

Oprah is a communist. She believes in the re-distribution of her wealth and when people are getting free cars from a television host, everbody is socialist at heart.

interesting theory. You are probably 101% correct. the thing is, Oprah is very charismatic and that is the number one reason people follow her. She is the epitome of the self made woman. At about 1 miilion per day, she is definitely laughing at someone!

Ditto! Excellent. This lady is the queen of the "sit on your *** at 3 in the afternoon, LOSERS!" The fact she is so popular shows what a bunch of lazy asses amercans have become.

Not that I think guys are much better. A ticket to a stinkin ball game and a bag of peanuts should not support some dumb jock's 15M a year salary. Or the owner's 1B payout either.

I agree! The people in the audience practically drool over her! Hello? She's just a person....who really cares what she thinks about something? It's just HER opinion. She is all about herself. Look at the things she does.....then she'll turn around and devote an episode of her show showing all about what all she did....like she's the great white hope or something. There is a saying....."If you really want to help people, public recognition isn't necessary."

I'd rather see Oprah on TV and pretend to care and donate millions to charities than NFL players being looked up to by so many young males when all they do is take steroids and meth and make millions chasing a pigskin ball......... promoting drug abuse, women as nothing but sex objects and a dumb *** stupid macho male mentality.

I do believe that Oprah is a good person and she loves people and does alot of good things for people. She has a good thing going and yes she makes money, but the people love her and she loves the people and for that i give her credit.

Hey, everyone has a choice to watch what they want! What exactly are you calling the rest of the world(incl yourself!) She would not be laughing all the way to the bank if people like YOU didn't watch her shows!!!
Then, to actually listen to her, well that is personal choice too.
I do not idolise her BUT I personally think she has done alot of wonderful things in this world with her wealth, dont' see too many others steppin up to the mark in that respect! She doesn't snort it, shove it up her arm or drink it - & then want all to feel sorry for her when she goes to rehab!!!!
Gonna stop now as I could go on & on & on!!!! Lets pick on someone who actually couldn't care less (Paris comes to mind as one!)

I absolutely agree with you and have been of this mindset ever since she started 'dissing' the white people who got her to the top....It is easy to do what she does when the bottom line is the billions of dollars generated...it is a sin.... a good example of greed in her personal and professional life

There's a button on every-ones TV....if you don't like something or someone...turn them off....I do.

Because I days I am home sometimes her show has interesting topics. If a show not interesting to me then I so turn it off. But 7 out of 10 it is.

I think she does some good thing like with the girls school in South Africa.

Guess you haven"t seen any of the other talk shows that do the same thing, so why are you singling her out? Maybe because she is black,? one of the riches and most influential people in the world?

First off I want to say that I really don't think anyone is singling her out because she is black. To be honest that never really crossed my mind. She has worked hard to be where she is today and I think Oprah does good things. I don't know how much of her own money she uses to do these. I admire her and her accomplishments however, there are certain times I think she kinda throws her "money" and "power" in our faces....... And I think she should help ALL types of people...I think she leans more to her race when helping people ( again this is just my opinion) but if she stops and thinks about it .....It has taken all different types of people ( race, financial etc.,) to get her where she is today. All in all I think she does good ....but I think she has away of putting people beneath her....I would like to know the process she uses to select the people she helps .... what is the qritera ....I still watch her, if I like the topic I keep it on , if I dont ...I change it. Simple.
