Is it true that the public in TV talk shows is being paid to be there?

If so, it's a good way of making money and having a good time...

By the way, do they set any conditions?

I don't think they get paid a wage or a fee, but they do get transportation, lodging, meals, the star treatment maybe?

As for the conditions, there must be!! I imagine it like they make you sign a contract that you are theirs solely for the taping of the show, an hour or whatever... gives them the right to keep you there against your will... I've seen guests saying "interview is over" that they were leaving, and they physically block them, keeping them falsely imprisoned, which is against the law! I know I'd be suing the pants off of them if they falsely imprisoned me!! Unless, of course, I had signed away my rights.

If you mean the audience, no, they're not paid to sit there.

The guests get their expenses paid, cheap coach fare, 2 star hotel room and a dinner, no additional pay to appear.

If you are guest on the actual show you get paid scale whatever that is now. It's not that much. If you mean to be in the audience to watch the show being taped the answer is no.
