Maury show on 16 year old girl getting lipo?

Did anyone see the Maury show about the 16 year old girl that got lipo sucktion and breast augmentation. If that isn't wring and disturbing enough, I couldn't believe how the show presented it. They basically praised her for it! This girl was a little chubby and her breasts where slightly uneven and her mom claimed that that if her daughter wants to have plastic surgery in order to boost her self esteem she should do it. So the girl did and came on the Maury show and they were telling her how great she looked and she was saying how her self esteem has been boosted since the operation and so on and so forth.
Am I the only one who thinks that that is absolutly wrong!? First, SHE'S 16 and beautiful the way she is. What 16 year old girl isn't happy with her body at that age. Secondly, I can't believe that stupid show did that! They are basically promoting plastic surgery and suggesting that if you aren't happy with your body you should fix it with surgery and u'll feel better! Ridiculous!

I hated my body at 16 and with age i got over it. You've barely started your life at 16, she should have waited until she was a bit older to made such a decision, if ever.

I answered this question from an earlier asker. I was so disturbed by this show it wasn't even funny. I can't imagine anyone letting their kid do that. And what is worse what does it say about the doctors who are willing to do it. These girls aren't even adults yet and all they can think about is their looks. No wonder girls grow up with problems when they think they should look like something on TV, mags, or movies.
I don't think they should glorify this stuff by presenting it on a TV show as if it is an okay thing to do. It shouldn't be done unless it is medically necessary.

but you have to put yourself in her shoes. she was not happy wiht the way she looked. its an inner and outter battle that she needed to solve in order to go on with her life.

Instead of Lipo, her Parents should have gotten her a membership at their local gym, or paid a Personal Trainer to help her work out.

Nothing, builds up your self esteem more than a good work out.

i saw that and what rele got me mad was her mom allowed it and she wants more. i think no one should get plastic surgery god made u special and u should not become "fake"

Yes it is ridiculous, But if she was 26 would it be less ridiculous. Watch Doctor 90210, load of attractive women say they want breast augmentation to boost their self image. BULL POOPY. The was a 16-17 year old with her mom, and explained to her mom & the DR why she should have DD's and that they were not too big for her frame. Then she sees her friends and like a child boasts "they are gonna be huge!!!!"

Why do women think they need to sickly thin with huge boobs to have a normal life???

Now her inside and her outside match... They are both fake...

Having to grow a personality and brains takes hard work so it is eaiser to just have them sew a smile onto your face.

It is a sick thing most of all in that she isn't done GROWING!!

She may be 16 but ber breasts haven't stopped growing... They may not grow much more but the growth may change how the implants look! Her breasts might have evened themselves out in the long run...

To end up uneven AGAIN because of the implants will be her just-deserts!

Also... What the breast implant people don't want you to know... You need to replace your implants on average every 5 years.

They aren't a 1 time thing...

You need to pay over and over and over again for boob upkeep!

Each time they are replaced you add scar tissue... You increase the risk of complications... You increase the risk of secondary infections!!

Getting breast implants is the STUPIDEST thing you can ever do because of the upkeep!!!

I wouldn't be this vehenamment about it if it was a 1 time thing... I might even concider getting some work done if it were a 1 time thing... But over and over and over again? Screw that!!

Yea, I cannot believe that she was that insecure about herself! She was not even that chubby, nowhere near enough to need lipsuction at that age. Its unbelievable what people are resorting to now

You dont know how this girl was feeling about herself,if she and her parents felt that it would make her overall life better I say go for it. You only live once,live how you want to.

I think its dreadful for someone that young to be allowed to get cosmetic surgery. I have no respect for Maury Povich.
