How much do people get paid for appearing on Jerry Springer?

Obviously no one would degrade themself as much as Jerry's guests do if there weren't something in it for them. What do they get out of it? How much do they get paid?

god i am glad you asked that! this is sad but a bunch of people i know went on that show. the even sadder part is that their story wasn't made up. (it was the weirdest love triangle i have ever seen) anyways, they didn't get paid crap. instead, they got a free flight and a free stay at get this....a ramada inn! ooooooo.....they said that once they got to the show they egged them on to start fights and told them to cuss at each other alot to make it exciting. so all and all, they embarassed themselves on national television for 3 days at some cheap hotel and a free flight to the show. oh and the girl brought home a room service menu and a tiny bottle of ketchup home from the hotel as a souvenier. i mean seriously, who wouldn't go on jerry springer if you get a mini sized bottle of heinz!?
