Two part question here. 1. Why was David Beckham given nearly double the interview time as the other guests?

on parkinsin last night? i realise he needs more time to hear and understand the questions but it was totally inappropriate, any one of the other guests (including jamie cullum) are far more interesting interviewees than beckham. its a damn disgrace.
2. after listening to beckham squeaking his way through i have finally decided to see if there is anyone, especially him, who claim that 'money is not important' is willing to give me 拢5million of their vast fortune???? i am absolutely skint most of the time and i believe money is very important so if these deluded characters actually believe its not about the money then i challenge them to give some to me. david beckham can i have 拢5million pounds please??? any other millionaires who feel the same as him can i have 拢5million please?? or 拢1million? or half a million or quarter of a million? how much are you willing to give away to prove that its not important to you?

Ah, the joys of supposition. I Only mentioned that I was skint most of the time, then I asked these hypocrites to hand over a small portion of their vast fortune which they continually claim is unimportant. I made no reference to what I would do with it and yet most first reactions are negative, hmm. Just incase there are other confusing issues in your lives can i point out that answering "yes" to the question "eh, david, can we write your name on this bottle of aftershave?" is in no sense of the word equated with 'earning'. I, like many hundreds of thousands of people, work harder and longer than david b ever will. Roadsweepers, domestic cleaners, window cleaners, teachers, policemen, nurses, dinner ladies etc etc etc every single one of these occupations and the people who do them on a daily basis are far more important than football or aftershave ever will be. sorry.

Because it takes twice as long for his brain 'cell' to warm up!

It was Parky's last show, he chose who he had on and how long they were in the limelight for, as for your other gripe, go and earn your own money, like Beckham did, then see how glad you are with others telling you what to do with it!

First of all, just cos you don't like david beckham doesn't mean others don't and therefore they may want to listen to an extended interview with him....why didn't you just switch channels????

Secondly, do you think that anyone with loads of money is really going to give some to you and no-one else? What makes you more needy than those in the 3rd world??? If its as easy as asking someone for 5million quid would we all be doing the lottery every week?

I honestly DO think professional footballers get paid far too much money - but at the end of the day I wouldn't swap my life for their ever!!! Imagine having to watch your weight constantly and getting stories printed about you every week of your life, everyone wanting to know what you are up to - give me my small salary and privacy any day. I will struggle through and be happy to struggle through too!

oooohhhhh get you! Got out of the wrong side of bed today did you? Parky can have on his last show whoever he likes! I love Beckham, he is an inspiration to kids worldwide, and rather he be an inspiration than some drug taking no-mark like Pete doherty for example! Yes he earns loads, so what, if people are prepared to pay him? He loves his work, he loves his wife, he loves his kids. Who could ask for more!

if u want money you have to go out there and earn it. i think it was unfair as i was more interested in micheal cane, david attenburgh, and billy connaliegh (if that is how you spell it). but is was up to parky. i also think footballers are well over paid as all they do is kick a ball, where doctors who spend years training and save peoples lives get not nearly as much as they should.

I suspect it was because he was the so called biggest name on the show and if ITV sells it to the states it will be his name they will make the most amount of money with.
And yes DB did sound pretentious.
The other guests were wonderful. I loved Dame Judis' song.
